FRIDAY 8TH AUGUST 2025

Dr Al Griskaitis (Psychiatrist) and Jess O'Garr (Clinical Psychologist) will be hosting a one-day workshop for mental health clinicians who want to learn more about the function of psychiatric medications and how they work.

You’ll learn how to:
  • Recognise when meds are helping vs. hindering therapy
  • Understand emotional numbing, agitation, and motivational flattening
  • Use case-based examples to map medication effects to patient presentation
  • Collaborate confidently with prescribers
  • Apply non-med alternatives when appropriate
  • Tactically understand starting, stopping, and adjusting meds to support your clinical goals
Perfect for psychologists, social workers, and mental health clinicians who want to work smarter with their medicated clients.

It will offer 6 hours of CPD in a face-to-face format.

The training room is up a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, disabled access or lifts are unavailable.

This event is not catered, however you can bring your own food if you want to. We have a kitchenette available for your use.
