PSYCH MEDS DECODED Workshop - MARCH 2026

Dr Al Griskaitis (Psychiatrist) and Jess O'Garr (Clinical Psychologist) will be hosting a one-day workshop for mental health clinicians who want to learn more about the function of psychiatric medications and how they work.
- Recognise when meds are helping vs. hindering therapy
- Understand emotional numbing, agitation, and motivational flattening
- Use case-based examples to map medication effects to patient presentation
- Collaborate confidently with prescribers
- Apply non-med alternatives when appropriate
- Tactically understand starting, stopping, and adjusting meds to support your clinical goals
It will offer 7 hours of CPD in a face-to-face format.
The training room is up a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, disabled access or lifts are unavailable.
This event is not catered, however you can bring your own food if you want to. We have a kitchenette available for your use.
This training will not be offered online or via zoom at this time.
All workshop materials will be provided in hard copy on the day of the training.
Registrations close 15th March 2026.
Cancellation Policy: You will receive a full refund if you cancel with 14 days notice, minus a $25 processing fee. For cancellations made with less than 14 days notice, booking fees will be forfeited.
