Shame
Listening to Shame
Brené Brown
In Brene's follow up TED talk, she talks about how shame pushes us to hide our vulnerability. To pretend that we are always in control or that we never falter creates a mirage that prevents our ability to connect with each other. When we deny vulnerability, we impede our empathy.
Shame survives in the shadows, so talking about it in the spotlight is the best way to squash it.
